biography.
born genevieve, jester comes from nicodranas, where her mother, famous singer and courtesan known as the ruby of the sea, still lives at the lavish chateau. as a child, jester was forbidden to leave home by her mother, who wished to protect her from the outside world. she began to draw and paint after her mother encouraged her to bring the outside world to her.
when she was around thirteen, a young boy called out to her from the street and asked if she would let him in to watch marion's performance. desperate for a friend, jester happily helped him. however, inside the chateau, lord sharpe recognized the boy, his son barnabas and accused jester of forcing him to come inside, and the boy pretended she did. angry, jester stormed off to her room, where she found a boy about her age who introduced himself as the traveler.
throughout teens, the traveler encouraged her to explore the world outside and play tricks on people. after stealing a ruby from one of the revelry's shipments, jester recognized lord sharpe's crest and disguises herself as the ruby of the sea using a technique learned from the traveler. she convinces him to meet her on the balcony in his underwear. realizing of the mistake her daughter had made, marion revealed that she had been helping the guilds uncover sharpe's involvement with the revelry for years and urged jester to leave immediately for her safety.
after quickly packing and saying goodbye to her mother, jester took off with the traveler. when relaying the story to the mighty nein, she couldn't remember his name ("lord something something" or "lord robert something something"). when jester left home, she had five thousand gold pieces, though she spent most of it on clothes for a horse and carriage she bought. the horse and carriage were later lost, left on the side of the road somewhere.
jester met fjord near port damali. while traveling together toward the soltryce academy in rexxentrum so fjord could study magic.
the two of them met beauregard along the amber road about a day before encountering the rest of the people who became the mighty nein. the trio saved the daughter of rinaldo (a fisherman in trostenwald) from a giant snake. they also did a job involving moving boxes for the baumbach family. something happened during the job that caused jester to agree with beau that demedan baumbauch is a "douche".
she’s excitable and eager. according to molly and herself, everyone tells her that she is pure of virtue, worthwhile, and a creature of some repute. she delights in small acts of mischief and trickery and can be plied with offerings of pastries. she keeps a sketchbook that she appears to use as a kind of pictorial journal, in part as her way of devotion to the traveler. she also enjoys leaving mysterious notes and drawings - especially of penises - in random places to be found later. jester asks many people she meets if they know the traveler, as it appears that she is unaware of how widespread his following is. she openly discusses him everywhere she goes and does not seem concerned with the potential consequences of worshiping an unapproved deity in the dwendalian empire.
jester is extremely devoted to the traveler, offering to leave the mighty nein early on if he doesn't like her being with a group. she follows the traveler's directives to create chaos but always gives something back and knock proud people down a peg. the only times jester seems visibly unhappy are when she is left alone. jester often uses plural pronouns, seemingly referring to the traveler always being with her.
jester grew up with wealth, on account of her mother being a highly sought-after courtesan. this is apparent when she inadvertently dismisses caleb after he tries to offer her money, and in how much she gives as tips. when jester's mother responded to her request for additional funds, it was considerably less than jester had asked for, and she began to hyperventilate.

the player behind the blog is of age (21+), however i’m asexual and not very comfortable writing smut, especially players i'm new to. exceptions can be made along the way as i get more comfortable, but for the most part i'd rather skip writing the details. i have zero problems with the characters discussing sexual themes, especially considering jester's personality and sense of humor. trigger tags are always " ____ tw", if there’s any tag you’d like me to use or that i've forgotten, please send me a message! if i’ve followed you it means i want to roleplay with you. mutuals are always preferred, but you can send memes anyway, i don't bite. obviously roleplaying isn’t a job, so you’re not obligated to memorize any of my rules or headcanons, and you can ask me anything you want.
WRITING & STYLE.
you don’t need to match my length or style, i don’t expect you to do so. i don't mind if you don't use icons, i'll only ask you don't use gifs if possible (or, at the very least, not big ones). i have both fc and animated/comics icons available so i'll match whatever you use. my first language isn’t english, so mistakes might happen. if i ever step out of line or write something that confuses you, message me and i’ll fix it out. sometimes i write very tired, sometimes the language barrier just messes things up in translation, etc.

VERSE DETAILS
MODERN AU / DETAILS. jester was homeschooled and took online courses on medicine. she hasn’t graduated. wanted to be a doctor ever since she was a teenager, after watching too many tv shows, ‘cause hot doctors. she met her one and only real friend online under a pseudonym (the traveler). she spent hours talking with him on social media, sending memes and gaming together; for a long time she didn't technically know who the traveler was, but he’s always been her best friend, and she adores him. got in trouble after she tweeted a picture of one of her mom’s clients looking silly instead of private messaging it to the traveler, as she intended. because everything that’s on the internet stays forever, even after deleting it, it was too late, he went viral, she had to run in search of her dad for a new place to stay. though she never reveals her identity, jester has a big online presence post-scandal--- she posts speed art on youtube with pop music in the background and gets demonetized all the time, people always ask for a face reveal. sometimes her dog shows up in the videos. she does nail art and thinks she’s great at it (she’s not, it’s too small of a canvas). she leaves really extensive reviews everywhere (hotels, fan fiction, movies, books). every time she goes viral on twitter, she links her art videos underneath. follows way too many cute animal accounts. she’s learned how to cut her own bangs with a youtube tutorial. has at least 3 piercings on each ear, and buys pretty clothes and jewelry online almost daily with her extension of her mom’s credit card— marion wouldn’t let her go out a whole lot, so she’s okay with jester making abrupt reckless superficial decisions like that. she has sprinkle and nugget, of course. she acquired them both on her travels and doesn’t do a very good job taking care of them, but tries to. jester unironically enjoys bad things that people hate. especially music. will buy her friends’ an alexa just to set it off at awkward moments, probably with said bad music. asks her friends to write fan fiction of her ships (oskar/guinevere forever). had a twilight phase but doesn’t regret it #teamedward. she pretends to be a flat earther to piss off or confuse her friends. signs legal documents with glittery pens. gives out candy on valentine’s day like it’s halloween. please avoid her on april fools. she will prank everyone and anyone. drives a really small pink car that most of her friends barely fit in. ever since leaving home, jester lives hotel hopping, spending her mother’s money without regret, though she probably shouldn’t, or sleeps in her car. sharpe is still after her, jester thinks he might want her dead, but she isn’t 100% sure. she might or might not have seen a woman the traveler later recognized as jourrael, code name the inevitable end on the dark web, following her around. they’re unsure whether they’re connected.

VILLAIN AU / DETAILS. definitely in a cult. doesn’t care, the traveler is still a god to her. her mission is to help him become a god. she’s a little in love with the traveler, but she knows it’s not like that to him. still, she gets really jealous of other followers and might kill someone if she suspects the traveler might like them more than he does her. she’s his favorite, no one else is allowed. she’s more obsessive, more jealous, and more ruthless. will sell anyone for a corn chip if the traveler asks her to. will do anything the traveler asks, actually. anything. although still sheltered all her childhood, she left the lavish chateau a lot more and never disguised herself. it got her mother into a lot of trouble when she was a kid, but the traveler always either punished people trying to give her mom hell for having her. speaking of hell, lord sharp. he’s dead. she killed the man after he found her out and threatened her. she’s a wanted woman in nicodranas. she doesn’t care, but it puts her mother’s business in trouble, so she leaves town for the ruby’s sake. she’s still looking for her father. she’s not sure whether to kill him, spare him, or rob him poor. she thinks her mother still loves him, and jester is still a romantic. worked for avantika as her personal cleric for some time in exchange for information about her father. they might or might not have had a thing. eventually she finds out babenon dosal is the gentleman, tracks him down and attacks him trying to kill him, nearly does. seeing his daughter is a lot like him, babenon offers to train her and teach her his ways if she’ll work for him. he promises that when the training is over, she’ll inherit his position and he’ll leave for nicodranas. jester agrees because it will make her mother happy. her lollipop has dark blue caramel spikes all around. vandalizing and destroying temples is her favorite hobby. she’s occasionally kind, mostly to animals. sometimes is nice to people... if she thinks she can convert them, or if they can help her. she almost never uses her healing spells on anyone but herself.
MARVEL AU / DETAILS. jester is still a magic user, she’s still blue. and she’s a mutant. she’s on house arrest for getting one of her mother’s clients in trouble with his family. has been for the past 3 years of her life. the man she got in trouble with, mr sharpe, is very powerful; so he made her sentence longer than it probably should’ve been. however, her mother is influential as well, she knows powerful people everywhere, so she got a deal for so her daughter would be able to stay home with her. uses magic to create a duplicate of herself and leave her home. often changes her looks with magic to not have blue skin and hide her tail. never met her father, knows who he is and where he lives, but she’s afraid of meeting him. her superhero moniker is sapphire. it’s not super scary, but she doesn’t care.
